A pseudonymous identity backed by cryptography. You pick a name — any name — and the app generates an Ed25519 keypair in your browser. No account, no email, no server. Your identity exists only in this session.
Anyone online can claim to be anyone. FortNox ID lets you prove a message actually came from you — mathematically, not by trust. Others can verify it without knowing who you are in real life. Think of it as a pseudonymous signature you can use anywhere.
.noxid file before closing the tab — otherwise it's goneSign tab → write your message → Sign Message. You get a signed package — a small JSON blob containing your message, your signature, and your public key. Share it anywhere: Discord, Telegram, email, or via FortNox Drop.
Verify tab → paste the signed package → Verify Signature. You'll see VALID or INVALID, who signed it, and what the original message was. Save the signer to contacts to recognize them automatically next time.
After signing a message, click Send via FortNox Drop to deliver it as a one-time encrypted link. The receiver gets a Verify in FortNox ID button — one click to verify.
Export saves your identity encrypted as a .noxid file. You choose the encryption password. Import it in any new session with that password to restore your identity and keypair.
Your identity is encrypted with a password before saving. You need this password to import it later.
